ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Area Manager, you will maintain a variety of transmission systems and associated infrastructure to meet customer requirements and oversee a team of Broadcast Technicians who are responsible for the maintenance and performance of the AM, FM & Digital Radio and TV broadcast networks transmission systems and infrastructure to ensure service delivery targets and expectations are met and risk to services is minimised. With an office based in Gungahlin, the role requires travel within the state. Some further interstate travel may be required for training and emergency response purposes. ABOUT YOU In addition to fully competent Senior Broadcast Technician (BT)3 skills of: Competent in-service restoration Corrective Maintenance Preventative Maintenance Proof of Performance Testing Effectively manages and supervises contractors Is part of the On-Call roster and is capable of completing on-call duties with no direction Performs the function of technical lead when working with other technicians or contractors Has a high level of customer service skills Effectively manages high impact faults and efficiently and effectively manages service restoration activities Is capable of managing more complex fault restoration Accurately completes all reporting associated with their work including the completion of Work Orders and fault tickets Coaches and develops other technicians Undertakes all activities in line with the BAI Communications Group WHS Policy. Reports all near misses, incidents according to the procedures, promptly and clearly with the required detail. Adopts a working style in line with the BAI Communications Business Values As a Team Leader you will be: Fully aware of all Service Integrity Unit Procedures Electronics Technician with RF experience and a background in maintenance of transmission and control equipment Possess a current Drivers Licence Has sound interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with others and a proven ability to work as part of a team.
