What's the role? We are looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join the Northwest Qube team for our Pilbara Port operations. The primary role of the Diesel Fitter is to undertake fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mobile harbor cranes, rotaboxes, and other port equipment safely and efficiently. A suitable candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work under pressure and independently.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
1. Suitable Trade Qualification or Certification.
2. Air-Conditioning Ticket – highly regarded, but not mandatory.
3. Demonstrated working experience with heavy vehicles and heavy machinery.
4. National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity) – or ability to obtain one.
5. Good mechanical aptitude.
6. Prior experience in ports, heavy transport, or mining environments.
7. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people.
9. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment, with a proactive approach to task resolution to maintain a high quality of work.
10. Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and compelling decisions.
