The role
You will drive the development and implementation of category-specific strategies, overseeing sourcing activities and contract administration. Contribute to the planning and execution of transformative Procurement business improvement projects and initiatives.
Core Accountabilities:
1. Strategically formulates and meticulously implements comprehensive category plans, orchestrating subsequent sourcing activities and overseeing contract management with a keen emphasis on ensuring fitness for purpose and robust risk mitigation for IPL.
2. Uphold a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of procurement transactions, adhering to established processes.
3. Champion compliance with both Procurement and broader business processes, fostering a culture of integrity and adherence to established guidelines.
4. Proactively cultivate and manage relationships with internal customers to enhance collaboration and understanding of their unique needs.
5. Demonstrate effective team leadership through adept performance management and the establishment of clear objectives, fostering a dynamic and goal-oriented work environment.
About you:
The ideal candidate must possess formal qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related fields, with a preference for those with expertise in category management or project delivery. Applicants with proven experience in managing contract disputes, negotiation, and conducting risk assessment and mitigation will be highly regarded. Additionally, previous exposure to working within a matrix organization structure would be advantageous.
