We are seeking an experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join our team in Perth.
This is a contract role with the potential to become permanent, and you will be responsible for delivering project-based exploration activities.
As a key member of our exploration team, you will oversee planning and performance of exploration programs, working closely with our head of Exploration.
About You:
* You must be based in Perth or able to relocate there easily
* You hold a current manual Australian driver's licence
* You have a tertiary degree in Geology or a related discipline
Key Requirements:
* You have excellent communication skills and experience mentoring junior professionals
* You have over 10 years' experience, including time as a Resource Geologist in the gold mining and exploration industry
* You have previous experience working with the Department of Mines and Industry Relations and knowledge of the Department of Environment's reporting requirements
* You have a working knowledge of image preparation for ASX announcements, cross-sections, geochemical data sets, geological maps, and ability to think in 3D
* You have previous experience in planning exploration programs and an understanding of staged exploration approach methods
* You have experience in utilizing geological ranking systems and target databases
* You have demonstrated skills in geological interpretation and an understanding of resource estimation techniques
* You have a good understanding of tenement management requirements
* You are a competent user of Microsoft Office, 3D modeling software, and GIS Packages
Key Accountabilities:
* You will develop regional geologic maps and resource models for exploration projects
* You will generate, rank, and test new and existing targets
* You will utilize geophysical, geochemical, and geological data to interpret projects and perform geological modelling
* You will manage consultants, staff, and drilling contractors
* You will contribute to statutory and company reports
* You will undertake planning, management, and implementation of drilling programs on time and within budget
