Western Australia’s Southern Forests and Valleys are calling for a team of Senior Medical Practitioners to join them across the South West. The Health Service is looking to strengthen their rural generalist workforce, with a strategic development plan and become the next accredited training program for Rural Generalists / Generalist Practitioners. As a Senior Medical Practitioner, you will work as part of multidisciplinary teams to provide a high standard of medical care. MRCGP or equivalent qualified GPs will be suitable for these positions; ED skills would be beneficial but are not a pre-requisite. Regional Profile: The South West Inland consists of eight hospitals, made up of two District Hospitals, two small hospitals, three Multi-Purpose Sites (MPS), and one Nursing Post. The area spans from the southern boundary of the South Metropolitan Health Service near Harvey to Northcliffe in the south and is split into three district areas. The services include Nursing, Allied Health, and visiting medical practitioner services supported by Telehealth Services. Community Health, Community Mental Health, and Aged Care Services are provided across the Inland Directorate. The South West is famous for its rugged and beautiful shoreline, but there is so much more to explore inland. You will find a variety of activities that suit your interests and preferences, whether you are looking for adventure, culture, or relaxation. The best part of being inland is that you are never too far away from the coast and beaches. You are only a drive away, where you can enjoy the sun, sand, and crystal-clear waters on the weekends! What is in it for you: Competitive salary package up to $400k+ inclusive of employer superannuation contributions and on-call/recall rates. Teaching, training, and research opportunities are available through the South West hub, the Rural Clinical School, and University. Relocating from overseas or interstate? You may be eligible to receive a separate relocation incentive of up to $10,000 (Eligibility is subject to terms and conditions). Your mental wellbeing is equally important as the patients you treat; the client promotes and encourages a healthy work-life balance to ensure you are at your best each and every day! Save yourself a 2-hour drive back to Perth Airport and drive 30 minutes from Bunbury to Busselton Airport. With flights available 3 times a week to Melbourne Tullamarine Airport, you will only be one flight away from your next international (or domestic) getaway! Are you relocating with your family? The region is home to a total of 100 public schools and tertiary education, ensuring your children will learn, grow, and prosper to fulfill their passion and dreams! What Head Medical can do for you: Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time-consuming. We’re the UK’s specialist in international medical recruitment and we’ve helped many Doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008. We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle, and we’ll talk through your plans and will get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location. Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the Medical Registration and Visa application process and support you (and your family) with the relocation itself.
