This role will support directly this highly visible and in-demand roadmap of modernisation and automation.The backlog of work can range from simplifying a process, eliminating some hands-off or attestations, to completely automating the way we run our compliance around technology controls. The technologies will be around Data and analytics, UI and dashboards, automations, and system integrations.This newly formed squad will be embedded in SRE engineering and start working together with a new Product Manager who can balance effort and complexity across a list of improvements you will be involved with engineers in Business units to creatively solve their problems and pain points.Cultural fit and attitude first. Main responsibilities as Principal Software Engineer:Expert in reducing manual toil with automation.Architectural experience to assess manual processes and design, build, and deploy efficient, modern alternatives.System design and integration skills, ensuring all parts of the automation system are built and work together seamlessly.Excellent debugging skills. We don’t expect you to know them all deeply, but experience or exposure to some of these will set you up for success in this team:You are a long-term, experienced, full stack software engineer, who enjoys the satisfaction of building solutions and services across a wide array of systems to address complex challenges.Expert experience with GoLang, JavaScript, AWS, Python, SQL, microservices, RESTful APIs, system design, CI/CD, and architecture.
