We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (AWS) who thrives in cloud-native, Kubernetes-centric environments to join our high-performing team. This role is instrumental in advancing our self-service platform vision, streamlining CI/CD processes, and embedding security-first principles into every layer of our cloud-native stack.
As a key technical engineer, you will enable developers to provision and manage infrastructure autonomously, create robust CI/CD pipelines, and maintain scalable, secure application environments. Your work will directly influence the productivity and maturity of our developer teams while ensuring the reliability and scalability of the platform.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
AWS Engineering & Automation Help design, build, and maintain a scalable, cloud-native platform on AWS, using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Kustomize, and Helm. Automate lifecycle processes (eg, provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and monitoring) using GitOps and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and tools. Developer Enablement & CI/CD Support developer teams in debugging application pipelines and workflows, fostering collaboration and reducing dependency on the platform team. Containerisation & Cloud-Native Operations Help drive adoption of containerisation best practices using Kubernetes, Cilium, and open-source tools for networking and security. Design solutions for high-availability applications using AWS networking and efficient ephemeral storage solutions. Security & Observability Provide technical guidance to application engineers and developer teams, promoting best practices in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and security. Collaborate with architects, operations, and product teams to deliver solutions that balance developer autonomy with platform stability. Ensure security compliance for CI/CD pipelines and workloads through policy enforcement and custom resource definitions (CRDs). To be successful you will have: Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Helm for managing cloud-native infrastructure. Deep understanding of CI/CD workflows using ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, including integration with Vault-based secrets management. Willingness to teach and mentor other developers to achieve exceptional results Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
