Earn while you learn and kick-start your career with Lake Mac Council!ABOUT THE JOBThe Trainee Administration Officer positions are a two-year traineeship program, where we will support you to complete a Certificate IV in Business Administration. The Traineeships sit within our Built and Natural Assets cluster where you will gain a broad range of valuable customer service, business support and administration experience while supporting various teams and work areas. You will complete your studies online with the Australian College of Commerce and Management as well as on-the-job training with the support of administration professionals and mentors.In this role, we will support you to:Provide administration support including processing requisitions and invoices, mail, maintaining systems, preparing correspondence and reportsProvide excellent customer service, ensuring efficient and courteous responses to all requests, enquiries and correspondenceOrganise and address internal and external customer requests using a variety of computer systemsAssist with coordinating departmental meetings and documentationAssist in organising special events, functions, workshops and trainingThe positions work across Council’s Works Depot in Boolaroo and the Administration Office in Speers Point. Some travel may be required within Lake Macquarie with notice.
