Base Salary HEO 6 (38 hours), $107,977 p.a. - $116,406 p.a. (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation.
About the opportunity The Small Animal Veterinarian position operates within the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Camden (UVTHC) as a first opinion small animal veterinary hospital at the rural (Camden) campus.
In this position, you will: Provide first opinion small animal services including medicine, surgery, and anaesthesia within Camden / Wollondilly districts.Provide 'hands-on' clinical training to final year students for 'Day One' skills, including independent supervision of spey clinic and first opinion consults.Support undergraduate veterinarians and nursing staff in decision making and case management.Take part in informal and formal presentations of small animal related topics at the hospital.Participate actively in development of a wide range of skills and dissemination of knowledge through attendance at journal club and hospital rounds.Contribute to community outreach events supported by the UVTHC.Be in clinic on Thursdays and Fridays (no weekends required) and you may have the option to pick up additional shifts.About you The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity.
