A reliable, caring, efficient and productive nursing team is vital in general practice. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to directly report to the Nurse Manager. We are a close-knit team. The patient comes first but enjoying your work is a must. As part of the nursing team, you will be working with 9 GPs and a large admin team. We are a fully accredited practice that runs two treatment rooms and a chronic disease management room. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced practice nurse. However, an RN may also be wanting a change from their current hospital, aged care or specialist environment. Practice nursing includes triage, wound care, assisting with minor procedures, performing ECGs, asthma management, sterilization and infection control, and vaccinations/immunizations. (Immunization Certificate preferred). We use Best Practice software. Knowledge of chronic disease management is desirable, as well as wound and fracture management, spirometry, writing care plans, performing health assessments, and conducting pre-employment medicals. Competency or a certificate in Pediatrics, Neonates or Midwifery is desirable. We are interested in your area of specialty and how you could grow the services we offer here at The Surgery at Jerra.
