Technical Sales Engineer (Rolling Stock)
A key role in our sales team, based in Sydney and Melbourne for a leading Rail OEM.Key Responsibilities:
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to work standards, safe work practices, and environmental protection policies.
Communication: Foster open communication amongst colleagues and stakeholders to drive business growth and success.
Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new opportunities in rolling stock, wayside monitoring equipment, and rail infrastructure.
Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to deliver exceptional service and meet their needs.
Business Development: Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to develop a sustainable sales pipeline that supports business targets.
Estimating and Proposals: Prepare customer cost estimates and proposals as required.
Presentation and Support: Positively represent the company and project a professional image in all interactions. Provide supporting materials and information for internal parties as needed.
Collaboration and Improvement: Liaise with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met and opportunities are maximized. Actively participate in reviews, audits, and report improvement initiatives to the Production Manager.
Requirements:
* Experience in the rail industry, especially rolling stock
* Educational background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
* Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong relationship-building skills
