Lifestyle Support Assistant / Personal Care Worker

Your Role
You will be committed to supporting our clients to live and age well in their own home. While no two days are the same, some of the key factors in your workday may include:
* Personal Care: showering, dressing, medication, continence care
* Domestic assistance: Meal preparation, laundry, light household cleaning
* Social Support/Transportation: travelling to medical appointments, community access, providing companionship
* Assisting with aids: frames, wheelchairs, hoists, slide sheets, hearing aids, etc.
* Monitoring the overall wellbeing of clients, recognising and reporting change with a client appropriately

What We Need From You
* A passion for caring and supporting people to live their best lives
* Always respectful and polite while upholding professional boundaries of being friendly and not friends
* Current driver licence and your own insured vehicle – travel is a part of the role
* Completed a Certificate III in Aged, Community or Disability or are willing to obtain
* Covid-19 Vaccinated
* Current NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card – or –
* Current National Police Check and be willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
Lastly, you have the right attitude and you take each day as it comes as some clients can be challenging but you don’t take it personally. Delays in your day can make you feel flustered, but you know to shake it off before you greet the next client.
