The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic lawyer to join our Investment Funds practice.
We have leading expertise in listed and unlisted funds, alternative investments (credit, real estate, private equity, energy, infrastructure and distressed debt), pensions and superannuation funds, wholesale and retail funds, securities, derivatives, mortgages and fixed interest.
Our practice delivers cost-effective advice covering all aspects of funds which includes institutional investors investing into funds that encompass sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and superannuation funds as well as hedge fund managers on their investments, management structures and regulatory matters.Our clients include Australia's major financial institutions and many of the leading global institutions.
The Australian team forms part of Ashurst's global Investment Funds practice, with partners and lawyers located in the world's leading financial centres.
We are open to the location of this role which could be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.
A full job description including a breakdown of responsibilities can be found attached to the role on our careers page / We are interested in hearing from people who have: 2-6 years' experience in Finance gained within a top-tier firm or by a combination of top-tier and in-house.
Experience in licensing, governance, administration, distribution, restructuring and/or investment matters associated with superannuation, funds management and/or life insurance products would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
