Job Duties:
* Prepare, season and cook food, meeting dietary requirements where required.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Oversee and manage kitchen operations.
* Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
* Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
* Cater for functions and wakes.
Additional Duties:
* Menu planning and discussion of menu ideas with Management.
* Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen.
* Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly.
* Monitor portion control and production flow.
* Monitor stock, place orders and receipt goods on delivery.
* Check quality of ingredients.
* Adhere to WHS standards and procedures.
* Mentor staff.
REQUIREMENTS MANDATORY:
To be considered for the role you should:
* Hold relevant qualifications with a minimum of Cert IV In Commercial Cookery.
* Have a minimum of 1 year experience in commercial cookery.
* Have knowledge of safe food handling procedures with relevant qualifications.
* Be able to work in both a team environment and individually.
* Have a positive, proactive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
* Weekend availability.
