Service Desk Engineer
We are helping a state owned organisation recruit for a short term Service Desk Engineer to work fulltime on-site in Townsville. This role is an immediate start till 21st of January.
Technical Support & Service Management
* Deliver 1st level and some 2nd level IT support across the organization, handling all types of service requests (incidents, problems, requests) end-to-end in alignment with ITIL processes.
* Apply technical troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex issues, educating customers and escalating issues promptly when necessary.
* Ensure efficient categorization and recording of all incidents/requests, leveraging trends to identify opportunities for continuous business and process improvements.
* Provide services aligned with the Service Catalogue, meeting service targets and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Technical Expertise:
* Proficiency with ITIL principles, ServiceNow, Microsoft Windows environments, and management tools.
* Experience in Windows Domain environments (Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange), remote desktop support, software deployment (e.g., Microsoft SCCM), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare).
* Familiarity with networking technologies (LAN/WAN), Android and Apple mobile devices, and security-related tools.
