About the opportunity Reporting to the Data Strategy & Government Manager, the Strategic Data and Technology Lead is accountable for developing and maintaining our data strategy roadmap, data governance standards, integration and quality frameworks. This role will work closely with Information Management, IT and other data reporting teams to build a plan that incorporates our people, processes and technology to support business decisions and improve the customer experience. The role will contribute to our Post26 strategy by providing data and insights to deliver thought leadership that drives innovation in how we service and engage with our Australia Post customers. This is a fixed term opportunity until 18th July 2025. You’ll also Consolidate, reduce and ensure any new reports/analytics solutions are adding value, actively being used to support the business and or our customers, the data source is secure and correct, not being replicated and being built and developed within the right tools. Provide Insights and prepare cases for change/business cases and identify, define, scope and prioritise projects to improve efficiency & effectiveness of existing processes. Identify business drivers and understand user needs to inform, develop and maintain our future roadmap. Understand and introduce governance to ensure data accuracy, understanding, usage measures and compliance. Develop a reporting framework that ensures understanding and transparency of who is responsible for data solutions developed, how they have been developed including rules/logic and how the data is to be used, can be accessed and by whom. About you You will be a passionate data management professional, experienced in building out strong frameworks and an expert in best practice data management, reporting and analysis. You will be able to navigate and build relationships at all levels of the organisation with a strong ability to communicate complicated concepts to audiences and craft compelling stories based on insights and analysis. You’ll also need Experience in developing data strategies and recognised for your excellent analytical and commercial approach Proficiency in developing strategic, data led, customer and business solutions, and converting detailed business requirements into clear and comprehensive solution designs An understanding of data modelling tools including CRM, Excel, Tableau CRM (Einstein Analytics), Power BI, Google Cloud Platform, Data Studio, Looker, Tableau We’re delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
