We have an opportunity for a Technical Director – Materials Technology / Durability Engineer to join our Resources and Materials Engineering Business Group.

This position will see you involved in:
Support the team working on a diverse range of clients and projects with a focus on asset condition assessments, durability of steel and concrete infrastructure as well as specifying infrastructure repair and corrosion protection.
Direct and supervise site investigations involving inspection, durability testing, diagnosis of issues, remediation design and risk management strategies.
Technical modelling and design for durability, concrete crack risk assessment and cathodic protection.
Technical report writing including technical specifications, ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements across engineering activities.
Deliver and be accountable for technical assignments.
Undertake quality assurance activities and provide the final sign off on technical documentation and reports.
Provide technical mentoring for others.
Contribute to business development and proposals to win new works.
What you will bring to the team:
Minimum 15+ years relevant experience in design consultancy, and relevant degree in Engineering and/or Science.
Chartered Engineer and RPE certification, or progressing towards completion (preferred but not mandatory).
Proven experience and a sound understanding of current materials technologies as they relate to infrastructure e.g., concrete, steelwork and timber.
Demonstrated experience in asset integrity, inspection and diagnosis and remediation strategies of structures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills.
Willingness to travel and work on site when and where required.
