Your new role
The Events Officer will plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including Open Days, conferences, and community programs. This role supports strategic goals by delivering high-quality events that enhance the institution's reputation and foster stakeholder connections. You will be reporting to the Student Recruitment and Events Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain an annual events calendar.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand event objectives.
3. Create detailed event plans and manage logistics.
4. Oversee event setup and on-site management.
5. Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, and partners.
6. Support marketing efforts with promotional materials and social media content.
7. Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports.
8. Manage event budgets and ensure compliance with policies.
What You'll Need To Succeed
1. Degree or Diploma in event management, marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Strong project management and organisational skills.
3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
4. The ability to work effectively in a team and handle competing demands.
5. Satisfactory National Criminal History check and NT Working with Children clearance required.
6. Ability to travel and hold a current NT driving licence.
7. Flexibility to work outside standard office hours during peak periods.
