POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES This role is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the unit, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction, operational processes, and quality management standards for patient care. Working closely with the Perioperative Services Manager and Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the clinical and operational direction of the unit, coordinating the delivery of evidence-based nursing care to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and optimal patient outcomes. You will also hold accountable for managing human, financial, and material resources daily, ensuring their effective utilisation to support the unit's operational and clinical objectives. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Current Registration with AHPRA; Sound clinical knowledge; Compliance with ACQSHC National standards; Working with Children check (if relevant); Experience in the Acute setting/relevant to position advanced skills (at least 12 months experience in Gynaecology); Degree in the relevant specialty area; Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills; Positive role modelling behaviours; Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation; Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment; A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases.
