In addition to a strong commitment to developing the literacy and numeracy skills of its students, La Grange RCS offers a diverse range of specialist programs across all year levels including Music, Art, Physical Education, and Information and Communication Technology and a focus on cultural learning, particularly the provision of Language classes.
La Grange RCS is situated in the Bidyadanga Aboriginal Community in the Kimberley region, on Karajarri country, 180 km south of Broome.

The Role The successful applicant will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by assisting the Principal to develop and promote the school values, ethos, and priorities, and encouraging staff.
In collaboration with the other Primary Deputy Principal, the successful applicant will be overseeing Behaviour Management at the Primary level and line managing the in-school instructional coaches.
The Deputy Principal will provide educational leadership in several focus areas including implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum with a strong focus on Primary and intervention strategies.
They will ideally have a high level of evidence-based curriculum knowledge and expertise in Professional Learning Communities.
The successful applicant will provide curriculum support and development of best practices in teaching and classroom management to teachers.
The Deputy Principal will ideally have skills and knowledge in the Kimberley Schools Project, Trauma Informed Practice, and Cultural Responsiveness.
The successful applicants' other skillsets may be utilized within the senior leadership when allocating Level Three role portfolios for 2025.
