The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.
Duties
The Engineer, Strategic Business Group is accountable to the Manager, Strategic Business for managing strategic transport planning initiatives, projects and frameworks, that interface with the transport network.
The role contributes to the timely management of transport infrastructure planning projects and initiatives, and provides high level professional services/advice/recommendations on transport planning matters including strategic transport planning projects and cross-government initiatives that have Divisional, Departmental or Inter-Agency impacts, stakeholder case management and agency engagement functions related to the transport network and Departmental infrastructure.
The role also provides advice and inputs into key Divisional and Departmental plans, strategies, frameworks, benefits realisation and other business improvement activities.
Key Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering or similar discipline essential.
Special Conditions
This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Remuneration
PO2 - $85,665 to $94,801 per annum
