About The Role
We are seeking an experienced cleaners to work within our Environmental Services team. In this role, your duties will include the cleaning of patient rooms, offices, residences, and public areas providing high quality housekeeping service to ensure standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met throughout the hospital.
An essential part of this role is to be able to carry out physically demanding duties, demonstrate good communication and time management skills; possession of a positive work attitude and the ability to follow specified work schedules.
The roster for this role includes a variety of shifts including weekdays, nights, weekends and public holidays.
About You
Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.
1. We are ideally looking for candidates that can meet the below criteria:
2. Have fast paced cleaning experience in a healthcare environment (highly desirable)
3. Ability to work a rotating roster including weekdays, nights, weekends and public holidays (essential)
4. Demonstrated capacity to undertake the physical capacity of the role
5. Sound working knowledge of various commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment
6. Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate PPE and their application for use

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) Requirements
It is a mandatory condition of employment that some roles within our hospital require you to be vaccinated, and remain vaccinated during your employment, against some or all of the following vaccine preventable diseases; Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping cough), and Hepatitis.
