1x Full Time Permanent - 38 hours per week
1x Part Time Temporary - 32 hours per week - Maternity Leave Coverage
One of these openings is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode ton assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions.
About The Role
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to patients and clients of the health service; and leading, directing and supervising other nurses and care roles in the team, such as Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, to support quality care for patients/ clients.
Key Accountabilities
·Adhere to professional standards: Practice as a Registered Nurse in accordance with guidelines from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and the Registered Nurses Standards of Practice, ensuring competence in care delivery aligned with seven specified standards.
·Optimize health outcomes through comprehensive care: Undertake nursing interventions, assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation to support patients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals, while coordinating healthcare to facilitate positive outcomes.
·Ensure accurate and timely documentation: Complete, collate, and report health information in relevant electronic systems with precision, meeting legal requirements to guide ongoing care and ensure necessary information availability.
·Foster collaborative care and professional growth: Operate within a collaborative care model, effectively communicating with patients, carers, and healthcare team members. Additionally, participate in the performance development and review process for personal and professional development while delegating and supervising nursing interventions to support quality health outcomes.
About You
·Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
·Recent clinical experience in the position speciality and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
·Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
·Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
