About the role: Contributing to the effective development, management, and delivery of professional occupational health, workplace safety, and rehabilitation and return to work services; and liaising with multileveled staff to deliver responses and strategies.This position will also contribute to implementation, review, and reporting on occupational health and workplace safety and workplace rehabilitation and return to work policies, guidelines, procedures, and networks consistent with Health Service policy. About you: While not mandatory, qualifications in work health and safety or injury management will be well regarded. This position will require the incumbent to function as the Rehabilitation Return to Work Coordinator.Prior to performing this function, the incumbent must demonstrate that they are appropriately qualified to do so, having the qualifications, experience, or standing to perform the function. High level of knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply the provisions of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and associated acts, regulations, policies, and standards. Demonstrated skill in conducting audits, investigating accidents and dangerous events to identify risks and causative factors, and make recommendations to control risks in compliance with the legislation. Demonstrated ability to apply injury management practices and strategies to facilitate appropriate outcomes for injured and ill employees that are in line with best practice case management and legislative standards for rehabilitation.
