The Company
Our client is a well established FMCG group with exposure to multiple product categories including food, beverage, personal care, health and wellness products. They operate across various retail channels including grocery, food service, independents, petrol & convenience and route.
They are well established with a national presence over the past 30+ years.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Account Manager in their food & beverage division. The position will be responsible for managing a growing snack foods and beverage portfolio in corporate grocery accounts including Woolworths and Coles.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be managing these accounts by developing a strong customer relationship, owning the financial management for the accounts and ensuring the strategic plan to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities
4. Achieving volume, net sales, and gross margin objectives for total brand portfolio.
5. Lead category review presentations with buyers – identify opportunities that will enable category growth and development.
6. Lead the achievement of the brands distribution and shelf objectives through effective implementation of a Joint Business Plan with assigned portfolio.
7. Complete monthly account forecasts and present suitable recommendations as outputs from these to ensure customer supply service level expectations are being met.
8. Complete review of buyers’ presentations with marketing teams to elevate media and off-shelf opportunities.
9. Control trade spend for allocated portfolio and ensure all accounting controls are maintained to ensure trade spend budget percentage achieved.
10. Responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for profitably, growing sales and distribution.
11. Represent the Retail Sales team, contributing to team outcomes, liaising effectively with other team members, and contributing to shared workloads effectively.
12. Contributing to the strategic direction and team outcomes in Retail Sales as an active member of the senior sales team.
Skills and Experience
13. Tertiary qualified in Business, Marketing or similar related fields
14. 5+ years National Account Management experience dealing with the Corporate Grocery channel.
15. Exposure to snacks and/or beverages desirable
16. Strong commercial acumen, planning and organisation skills.
17. Strong computer skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and data reporting
18. Comfortable with ambiguity and with the ability to positively adapt to change
19. Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills
20. Goal oriented and solutions driven
