Your new role - Operations Coordinator
As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end transportation and logistics operations for our international freight forwarding business. Working closely with our clients, carriers, and internal teams, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing supply chain efficiency.
* Coordinate import and export shipments, managing the entire logistics process from origin to destination.
* Collaborate with clients and overseas partners to arrange shipments and address any issues that may arise.
* Prepare and process relevant shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and import/export permits.
* Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export procedures.
* Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and vendors to track shipments and resolve any logistical challenges.
* Proactively monitor and update clients on shipment status, providing timely and accurate information.
* Optimize supply chain operations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.
* Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly to maintain excellent customer service standards.
* Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
* Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
What you will need to succeed
* Operations Coordinator experience
* Proficiency in handling shipping documentation, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
* Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs tariffs, and import/export compliance practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
* Proficiency in relevant logistics software and systems preferred (e.g., Cargowise, Microsoft Office).
* A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
* Qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field would be advantageous.
