Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Holmer Green Junior School

HGJS are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious HLTA or experienced TA looking to progress who is passionate about learning and has the drive and enthusiasm to build upon the school’s current success. The role will involve supporting teaching and learning and being an integral part of the cover team. A degree of flexibility is required to meet the needs of the children and school.
We require candidates to identify any curriculum areas in which they have particular strengths or interest.
Successful candidates will be offered a start date at their earliest convenience.
Although this post will be an initial fixed term contract, there is strong potential for this to become a permanent contract after one year.

The aim of the role is to deliver targeted support and interventions on both an individual basis as well as within group settings. Developing positive trusting relationships with both children and adults will go along way to helping those targets being met.
HLTA's will be required to teach whole class groups in the absence of a teacher including marking work and setting homework.
About you
We are seeking a proactive individual who has a passion for supporting the learning of the children within school by working closely with the teaching team and being confident in offering observations and ideas. Of particular interest will be any experience you may have in working within an SEN environment. Our ideal candidate will be looking to progress within our school and aspires to grow, learn and develop.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Is an experienced TA looking to further their career as an HLTA or an excellent HLTA with an infectious love of learning
2. Is highly motivated and passionate about developing and progressing within their career
3. Is highly focused on increasing progress and raising the attainment of individual pupils, as well as developing children holistically
4. Has good organisational skills and is a clear communicator
5. Works well within a dedicated team of professionals
6. Contributes to our extra-curricular activities
