The Purpose-Built True North has a length of just under 50m, designed specifically for shallow water expeditions with a draft of only 2.3m. Onboard you will find 6 adventure tenders all with 140HP Suzuki outboards and an Eurocopter EC130 above on the heli deck.
About the Role
We are seeking a Marine Engineer with an AMSA MED#1 NC qualification to join our dynamic team. This role is ideally suited for a recent graduate or someone at the early stages of their marine engineering career, eager to grow and develop their technical skills in a hands-on, challenging environment.
Working alongside the Chief engineer on board the 50m True North, your every day is an adventure! Your attention to detail and can-do attitude will make sure fitting into the family of an experienced crew of 20 will be an enjoyable one.
With an even time 3 week on - 3 week off roster and possibility of FIFO from any Australian capital city, you will be based out of Broome, Western Australia for 6 months of the year exploring the Kimberley coastline all the way up to Wyndham followed by 3 months between the islands of Indonesia, West Papua and New Guinea and finishing off the season by heading down to Sydney, Adelaide and around to Perth - An exciting career opportunity awaits!
Responsibilities:
* Assist in equipment maintenance and upkeep.
* Daily checks of engine room machinery.
* Bunkering operations.
* Crane operations on board the vessel.
* Equipment handling and servicing.
* Daily activity and guest interaction.
* Tender maintenance and upkeep.
* Work well in a close team environment.
* Have good time management.
