About the Role We are looking for a Senior Design Architect at Associate level with a strong front-end focus to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in leading client relationships through feasibility and concept design stages, planning and development approvals and design development for mixed use projects including within the multi-residential market. You will play a key role in unlocking project feasibility ensuring design excellence is achieved with a deep knowledge of planning compliance and working closely with clients, authorities and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Feasibility: Assess site opportunities, constraints, and planning regulations, in order to develop early-stage project and design strategies. • Massing and Master Planning: Develop project massing strategies and urban design responses that align with authority and SEPP guidelines. • Planning Approvals: Lead the preparation and coordination of Planning Proposals, State Significant Development Applications (SSDA) and Development Applications (DA), ensuring compliance and our client ambitions are balanced. • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, authorities and design review panels, to navigate planning controls and negotiate project outcomes. Act as lead consultant to drive program and guide clients and stakeholders. • Design Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that designs meet ADG requirements, SEPP controls, and local planning regulations, while supporting the transition from concept design to design development and documentation. • Team Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to drive design outcomes and mentor team members. About You You are a Registered Architect with experience in feasibility studies, concept design, planning applications, and design development for mixed use projects with a key focus on the multi-residential market. You have a strong understanding of the NSW planning framework and can navigate the front end design and approval process with confidence.
