We are looking for an Assistant Chef to join the team at our White Hills centre! Part-time role: Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm.

About the Centre
Our service is a state-of-the-art facility with beautiful indoor and outdoor environments for children to learn and grow in. Our centre includes 6 spacious rooms that support children through their entire learning journey, from nursery to kindergarten.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities
An excellent opportunity to showcase your passion for preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for children. As an assistant chef, you will help with food preparation and ensure everything is clean and sanitized.
Responsibilities
* Clean the kitchen and food preparation areas
* Clean cooking and general utensils
* Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruit
* Prepare meals
* Set up food and beverage trays for serving to children
* Comply with the centre’s nutrition guidelines
* Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen in accordance with centre policies
About you
* Commercial Cookery Qualifications / Certificate III or higher preferred, but not necessary
* Previous experience in childcare preferred
* Food safety knowledge
* Ability to cater for allergies and dietary requirements
* Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all times
* Ability to work on your own and maintain a clean and functional kitchen during Chef’s absence
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
