This multidisciplinary team, comprising nurses, doctors, social workers, and Aboriginal Mental Health Workers, delivers high-quality clinical and preventative services across the Kimberley region.As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering assessment, counselling, and referrals while working alongside community members and other health professionals to reduce the harm associated with alcohol and drug use.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive mental health and alcohol and drug assessments.Provide therapeutic counselling and support to individuals and families.Develop and implement client-centred care plans.Deliver education, intervention, and harm reduction strategies.Support crisis intervention and risk management planning.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.Assist in community outreach and prevention initiatives.Skills & RequirementsRegistered Nurse with AHPRA registration.Experience in community mental health and/or alcohol and drug services.Strong clinical assessment and case management skills.Understanding of cultural competence when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.Ability to work autonomously in a remote/rural setting.Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).How to ApplyIf you're a passionate Community Mental Health Nurse looking for a rewarding locum opportunity, we'd love to hear from you!
