Analysis & Reporting (Banking & Financial Services)Full timeAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis team. Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis, this role suits a highly analytical professional with a background in engineering, finance, accounting, or law, eager to enhance their financial and business expertise. You should be able to present yourself well and be comfortable in effectively communicating with the Executive Leadership Team, banks, partners, and shareholders.The ideal candidate has good foresight in addressing challenges, and capable of critical thinking to challenge the status quo. Ambition, curiosity, and a willingness to understand the company, market, and industry are essential. Flexibility is key, as the role involves both routine reporting and more dynamic, challenging projects.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop and utilise 3-way financial models and special purpose models in Excel.Analyse and interpret financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.Advise on financial products, derivatives, and hedging, optimising cash flow and accounting treatments.Support debt financing initiatives, including Corporate, Working Capital, and Project financing.Analyse and negotiate commercial agreements.Manage treasury functions, including organisational payments and cash flow tracking.Provide energy market insights, supporting business strategies that align with Genuity’s role in the energy transition.Collaborate closely with Risk and Trading teams to enhance credit and risk analysis.Drive business analysis improvements and optimise the use of organisational data to ensure insight-led decisions.Requirements:5+ years of experience in a similar roleBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Financial, or Legal.A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statementsExperience with financial products, financing, commercial agreements, treasury, the energy market, tax, legal documents, valuations, transactions, credit and risk analysis, business analysis, and data utilisation (SQL preferred) will be highly beneficial.CA, CFA, or CPA qualifications are desirable.Must have unlimited working rights in Australia.Why Join Us?This is more than a financial role; it’s an opportunity to be part of a company that powers “Energy for Life” by creating clever solutions for a sustainable future.
