We at Chandler Macleod are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our client's team on a 3-6 month contract.
This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll be managing day-to-day transactions and supporting month-end processes.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organisation and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Bank Reconciliations: Ensuring accounts align accurately, investigating discrepancies, and resolving them promptly.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoices, payments, and receivables to maintain cash flow.
Vendor Management: Processing vendor invoices, ensuring payment schedules are adhered to, and handling related queries.
Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow summaries.
General Ledger Maintenance: Ensuring accurate data entry and up-to-date financial records.
Budget Tracking: Monitoring actual spending against budgets and flagging variances.
Compliance and Audits: Supporting tax compliance, BAS preparation, and audits by maintaining thorough and organised financial records.
Troubleshooting and Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to streamline operations.
Administrative Support: Assisting with general office duties, maintaining filing systems, and answering finance-related queries.
Required Skills/Experience:
A relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
12-24 months of bookkeeping or accounting experience (experience with Dynamics 365 is highly regarded).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
A proactive and initiative-driven attitude, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
