We focus on the management and reduction of chronic disease in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Fraser Coast Region.The PositionAs Primary Health Care Manager, you would be responsible for the timely and effective delivery of quality health care that ensures sustainability and growth in line with clear service delivery targets. This will be achieved through day-to-day management of all aspects of the Hervey Bay Clinic’s operations and includes coordination of:healthcare services and programs,quality assurance elements, andall administration and Medicare claims support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective screening, service delivery and administration practices are delivered in accordance with the Model of Care.Maximise Clinic performance in the provision of a high standard of client care.Work with the Galangoor Duwalami regional Health Services Team to coordinate provision to the Clinic of regionwide service programs and visiting Allied Health and Specialist Services.Provide direct specialist community and primary healthcare services, as required.Manage systematic data reporting, track KPIs and implement continuous quality improvement.Supervise, monitor and direct the activities and performance requirements of all clinic staff.Key RequirementsQualified Nurse with current unconditional registration with AHPRA, relevant Management qualification/s or equivalent qualification or working towards same.Demonstrated clinic skills and experience - in particular the ability to implement and support a medical/primary healthcare team, and to effectively plan and coordinate your own and the team’s workload to achieve results.Demonstrated Leadership and Management skills.An ability to communicate and empathise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:Salary PackageCompetitive base salary + super + salary sacrifice + annual leave.Clinic Days are Monday – Friday.Rostered 7.6 hours between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm.No after hours or on-call.Occasional attendance at community events may be out of hours or on the weekend.The WorkforceYou’ll be joining a dedicated team of professional staff and enjoy the benefits of a well-balanced working environment in centrally located well-equipped, purpose-built clinics.ENQUIRIES AND APPLICATIONS:Cover Letter addressing the key responsibilities and role requirements – maximum of 2 pagesResumeAddressed to:Kim Henschke (Maternity Services and Acting Primary Health Care Manager)Applications Close COB Thursday 10th April 2025
