About Ginninderry Ginninderry is a Joint Venture between Riverview Developments and the ACT Government's Suburban Land Agency with a vision to be a sustainable community of international significance in the Capital Region. Ginninderry is a 6-Star Green Star Community, and will ultimately be home to approximately 30,000 people. Ginninderry sets out to create a new benchmark in liveability, providing inclusive places to live, work and play while protecting and respecting the unique environment of the area.
About the Role In this dynamic role, you will:
Facilitate meaningful engagement with current and future residents. Support community-led initiatives and programs that enhance connection and belonging. Develop and manage community events, grants, and sponsorship programs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Support the successful transition of new residents into the Ginninderry community. Please note that there will be two part-time (0.8 FTE / 30.4hr per wk) Community Engagement and Development Officers employed working in a job share arrangement. This model allows for flexibility in workload distribution, ensuring coverage while maintaining work-life balance.
A combination of standard business hours, work after standard hours and weekend work (once or twice per month) is expected and may change from week to week.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in community development, sustainable development, or customer relations. 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience in community consultation and working with diverse community groups. A strong background in strategic planning and project management. Skills & Attributes Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Experience using social media for community engagement. Understanding of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles. Additional Requirements Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's licence. First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake training).
