The Role
Reporting to the Executive Producer â Entertainment and Events, NITV, the Senior Producer & Editor will be doing the following:
* Produce content to budget and on time â completing call sheets, production manuals, scripts, and production schedules
* Create budget submissions for productions
* Identify and pitch ideas to Executive Producer â Entertainment and Events, NITV for consideration
* Produce within an internal and sometimes also external team, working with all stakeholders and across teams with different levels of seniority
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing all aspects of production including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Identify a slate of Indigenous community events for broadcast across the calendar year
* Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
* Explore innovative ways with SBS Media to monetize NITV's content through branded content, sponsorship deals, and other commercial initiatives, while ensuring alignment with the network's values and audience interests.
* Work closely with the digital team to ensure that content is optimized for digital platforms, aligns with NITV's digital strategy, and maximizes engagement with online audiences.
* Perform editing duties as required.
About you
Ideally, you will have:
* 5 + years' experience in production on multiple credits producing, directing and writing.
* Experience on production in regional and remote areas with tight knit smallish production teams will be considered a massive advantage.
* The ability to convey production ideas and concepts in a clear and concise fashion.
* Advanced abilities in Adobe Premiere.
