Your new team You will be part of the leadership team for our specialist mental health team and part of the Mental Health, Family Violence, Community and Families Directorate. A little about the role As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of the leadership team, using your clinical experience you will support the team to deliver high quality, compassionate, evidence-based care to our client cohort. You will use your interpersonal and therapeutic skills, strong organizational, supervisory and leadership skills, to support your peers, colleagues, trainees and students to continue to work with those needing our care. As an approved supervisor, you will supervise students, and psychology registrars (Grade 2 & 3 psychologists) and play a key role in developing the next generation of clinicians. About you Have a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) General registration with a clinical psychology practice endorsement (Masters or Doctoral post-graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology) AHPRA board approved as a primary supervisor for area of practice endorsement in Clinical Highly developed assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills Experience and competency in the provision of a variety of evidence-based therapies, interventions and clinical psychological assessments Highly developed interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills with an ability to advocate and negotiate effectively for positive client outcomes across the multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated commitment to high quality service provision and to professional development, training and mentoring. Highly developed skills in liaison, collaboration and negotiation with other service providers, service users and carer groups and other community agencies. Knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act and the Children and Young Persons Act.
