In partnership with the Site Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support on all operational matters.The ideal candidate will be available to work hours between 7am-6pm, Monday through Sunday. Availability to work across all school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter) is required.Duties and Responsibilities:Play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the site, including managing staff, pets, bookings, maintenance, administration, and more.Provide exceptional customer service through customer interactions, handling enquiries, and managing bookings, building strong relationships and return customers.Ensure a clean and safe environment for pets, meeting each pet's individual needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.Lead, motivate, and coach a high-performing team through teamwork, clear expectations, and consistent delivery of outstanding service.Oversee the site when the Site Manager is unavailable, managing daily operations, addressing any issues or concerns, and making informed decisions.Maintain site-based social media pages, showcasing our facility, engaging with customers, and attracting new bookings.Assist with staff training and guidance, identifying areas for improvement, providing constructive feedback, and offering ongoing training opportunities.Identify and raise any maintenance, repair, or inventory requirements to ensure a resourced, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and customers.Address and investigate animal health concerns, maintaining a working knowledge of common health issues to appropriately address pet health needs.Experience / Requirements:Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines).Previous paid animal care experience is highly regarded but not essential.
