Fleet Coordinator (Brisbane Regional DC) Permanent Monday to Friday opportunityRole based at Brisbane distribution centreCompetitive Salary PackageWhat you'll do Reporting to the National Fleet Manager, as our Fleet Coordinator you will be an integral part of the National Fleet Management team responsible for the day to day management of the supermarket transport fleet assets (predominantly semi-trailers), tugs and Rail Containers liaising with site based transport teams and suppliers ensuring safety and compliance of the fleet, managing costs to budgets, achieving KPIs and minimising downtime. There will be the occasion after hours calls to attend to in relation to unexpected breakdowns and interstate travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Fleet Maintenance & Servicing: Manage relationships with service providers, ensuring timely maintenance, repairs, tyre and wash services, and compliance with safety regulations.Cost Control & Authorization: Oversee repair authorizations, manage costs, and control budgets related to fleet maintenance and operations.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure fleet compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, emissions, and accident reporting.Damage & Insurance: Manage damage claims, coordinate reimbursements, and handle insurance and infringement processes.Fleet Optimization & Procurement: Conduct fleet reviews, contribute to replacement planning, and support new vehicle procurement and disposal.Systems & Data Management: Maintain data accuracy in fleet management and telematics systems, lead KPI reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Support State Transport Team: Provide additional (short term hire) fleet to support peak requirements.Direct Rail: Provide the overarching governance framework for the overall management of the Direct Rail fleet (Containers).What you'll bring Experienced Technician: 5+ years in a trade role, preferably with 3+ years in fleet maintenance/management or a related field.Technical Qualifications: Trade certificate in an automotive field (Mechanic, Body Builder, Auto Electrician) highly desirable.Management & Leadership: Experience with supplier management, negotiation, and issue resolution, with further studies in management being a plus.Heavy Vehicle Expertise: Hands-on experience with heavy vehicle/semi-trailer and refrigeration repairs.Compliance & Reporting: Knowledge of HVNL legislation, national registration requirements, and experience with cost management and reporting.Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, computer literacy, and excellent stakeholder management skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
