We’re seeking a passionate, motivated individual to oversee and enhance our volunteer program, engaging a dedicated team of over 190 regular volunteers, and developing our corporate and school volunteering programs.As Volunteer Manager, you’ll drive the growth of our volunteer workforce, ensuring effective recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering and retention strategies. You will identify opportunities for corporate and school partnerships, developing volunteering programs in collaboration with the operations team. A significant focus of this role will be transitioning our volunteer management to an innovative rostering platform via Better Impact, to streamline scheduling.You'll work closely with our CEO and team to foster a safe, vibrant, and fulfilling experience for our volunteers, who are vital to our mission of building food security through a collaborative network.If you’re excited about community impact, adept at managing diverse relationships, and eager to implement innovative volunteer solutions, we’d love to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Onboarding: Lead advertising, interviewing, screening, and onboarding of new volunteers.Engagement & Retention: Maintain ongoing communication with volunteers through regular check-ins and feedback, fostering a positive experience.Training & Development: Deliver volunteer inductions, facilitate training sessions, and ensure volunteers are equipped to support our mission.Volunteer Rostering: Oversee the transition of rostering via Better Impact to enhance scheduling and streamline management.Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop partnerships with local referral pathways (e.g., councils, schools, businesses) to promote recruitment.Quality Assurance & Documentation: Ensure all volunteer activities are documented, compliant, and quality assured within the Better Impact system.Volunteer Events: Organise and lead volunteer recognition events, creating a cohesive and engaged community.Administrative Support: Maintain accurate volunteer records, support continuous improvement initiatives, and meet organisational objectives through effective administrative management.Ideal CandidateYou are an inspiring relationship-builder who thrives on making a tangible impact in your community.
