We're seeking a talented Senior Community Engagement Officer to join a NSW regional Council as a key member of their team for a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for leading and managing a range of community engagement projects and initiatives across the council.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement community engagement strategies and plans for a variety of projects and initiatives. Manage and coordinate community consultation and engagement activities, including workshops, forums, surveys, and online engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, businesses, and government agencies. Represent the Council at community events and forums. Provide advice and support to Council staff on community engagement matters. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities. Essential Degree in Communications or related discipline, or demonstrated relevant experience. Certification with the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). Current NSW Drivers Licence. Significant experience in community and stakeholder engagement role/s. Strong understanding of community engagement methodologies and significant experience in developing, delivering and measuring stakeholder engagement strategies. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to establish productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Desirable Experience of government environment.
