Support a leading Beef supplier at their modern processing plant in Tongala, VIC. With 3 strategically located processing facilities across Victoria and Tasmania, they continue to demonstrate their commitment to animal welfare and the support of local farmers. Boasting a dynamic culture built on collaboration, support, and teamwork, they are now supplying 10 premium brands including grass-fed, barley-finished, and wagyu beef products. Located at their original processing plant in the Goulburn Valley region of Northern Victoria, a skilled Maintenance Electrician is required to join their state-of-the-art facility in Tongala. The Role The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the preventative/breakdown maintenance throughout the entire facility, ensuring production systems are functioning at a high standard. Following recent plant upgrades, you will have the opportunity to work on highly advanced production machinery and equipment, learning from an established maintenance team. Ensuring the plant is running at maximum efficiency, your duties will include: Inspecting and testing electrical equipment, machinery, and automation systems. Maintaining and updating electrical documentation. Conducting safety inspections to ensure all systems are functioning securely. Assisting with the ongoing development of the site and associated assets. Performing maintenance outside of standard operating hours, including weekends and afternoons. About You This role is ideally suited to someone who has proven experience within a production/manufacturing environment. Safety-focussed with a team-oriented work ethic, the successful applicant will have proven PLC knowledge and a basic mechanical aptitude. Joining a rotational roster, you will have the ability to work across each shift: 4am – 2pm, 6:30am - 4pm, and 2pm - 12am (later shift includes a 15% shift loading). To be considered for the role, you must be able to meet the following criteria: Relevant Electrical trade certificate and a NSW Electrical Licence. Full Australian working rights and an open Driver’s Licence Knowledge and understanding in PLCs (AB and Omron), electrical automation, electric motor controls, VSDs and relay logics. Effective communication and strong computer skills (MS applications). Availability to perform maintenance outside of production, including Saturday mornings.
