What you'll be doing
To provide an effective and efficient Social Work service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for patients as identified, providing intervention including support, education, and resources to assist in dealing with health events.
To actively participate and contribute to the continued development of the Social Work professional role in the context of Health.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be in accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at NSW Health Awards.
A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
* Degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualification providing eligibility for membership of AASW.
* Highly demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Social Work in the context of Health.
* Demonstrated excellence in completing psychosocial assessments, planning, and intervention for complex patient/family presentations in the Health context.
* Demonstrated skills to participate in the development/monitoring/implementation and review of the Social Work role in an identified setting.
* Demonstrated commitment and highly developed skills in working with a team approach, alongside other disciplines and external agencies.
* Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written, and computer skills, and ability to manage a significant workload.
