About the team Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that supports Coles Group. About the Role As an Engineering Manager, you'll oversee multiple squads of cloud technologists, enabling them to deliver high-impact solutions while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances technology delivery, operations management, and strategic planning. You'll be a pivotal player in delivering the cloud engineering roadmap, ensuring operational excellence, and promoting a "you build it, you run it" ethos. Your key responsibilities will include: Team Leadership: Manage and coach multiple cloud engineering squads. Foster high performance, engagement, and alignment with Coles' objectives. Lead recruitment and career development for your teams. Technology Delivery: Deliver cloud solutions adhering to engineering best practices and agile methodologies. Ensure product quality, cross-functional requirements, and architecture alignment. Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement while managing technical debt. Operational Excellence: Act as a custodian for the technology products your teams build. Define and monitor SLAs, ensuring rapid resolution of incidents. Maintain and enhance system reliability and scalability. Strategic Influence: Contribute to the cloud engineering roadmap and technology strategy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve shared goals. About you and your skills Experience: 5+ years leading technology teams, with a focus on cloud environments. Strong background in complex system architectures and operations. Demonstrated success in agile and cross-functional delivery models. Skills & Knowledge: Stakeholder management, financial oversight, and risk management expertise. Proven ability to build high-performing teams and foster collaboration. Proficiency in cloud technologies and modern engineering practices. Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. What's in it for you?
