Facilities Manager – BGISLocation: Wantirna, MelbourneThe Role:As a Facilities Manager at BGIS, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and financial aspects of facilities management within a portfolio of properties. Your key responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and providing leadership to a team of maintenance staff. You will also work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met while maintaining a high level of service quality.Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of facilities operations, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety.Oversee budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and reporting.Lead and supervise a team of facilities staff, ensuring performance and development.Monitor compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.Ensure excellent service delivery to clients and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and equipment.Conduct regular site inspections and manage work orders to ensure optimal site conditions.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.What You’ll Bring:Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, ideally within a commercial or corporate environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of facilities management best practices, regulations, and safety standards.Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and controlling costs.Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Relevant qualifications in facilities management or a related field (highly desirable).Why BGIS?At BGIS, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment where you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your career.
