About the role:
In this role you will:
1. Work on a large range of plant / equipment
2. Support breakdowns / shift work
3. Support shutdowns (Step up into supervisor or co-ordinator) role
4. Undertake tasks with the view of long term repairs and meeting a high standard of quality of workmanship
5. Ensure that maintenance work complies with statutory and AS/NZ standards and requirements, using OEM manuals and the support of peers and engineers
6. Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance and servicing work safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturers' instructions
7. Read and extract information from engineering drawings, specification diagrams and maintenance manuals
8. Prepare the work area for maintenance of plants, systems or components
9. Use site systems and the SAP system to ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and archived in accordance with site procedures
10. Work within the on-demand system to respond flexibly to changing priorities
11. Ensure that contractors are inducted/supervised during service visits where necessary prior to accessing facilities
About you:
12. Relevant Mechanical trade qualification
13. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
14. A strong focus on safety and compliance
15. Good problem-solving skills
16. Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
17. Ability to manage execution of projects
18. Availability and flexibility to work overtime when reasonably required
19. Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
20. Can work effectively under tight deadlines
