IMPACT is also a Child Safe Organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.About the roleThe purpose of the Local Partner is to increase the participation of socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in the Bundaberg region, by providing continued support to former participants of the Cashless Debit Card including those who have volunteered for the Income Management Card.This position is part-time (38 hours per fortnight), in a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026. What you'll be doing Provide advocacy and peer support to participants, trauma informed and recovery perspective, in a manner that is sensitive to cultural, age, gender and beliefs.Support former participants transitioned off the Cashless Debit Card and those who are in receipt of the Income Management card, to access a range of support services available in the community.Provide intake and assessment services, develop goal plans, and case monitoring, coordinate and refer appropriate services.Provide support and tuition for clients that struggle with IT and accessing services that require digital skills.Provide opportunities for individuals experiencing social and economic disadvantage to develop life skills (e.g. Financial literacy, Digital safety, navigating tenancies).Develop and maintain working relationships with other services/supports in the community and ensure referral pathways both in and out of the service are timely.Attend network meetings and social engagement activities to promote Community Navigator role and services.Delivering individualised mental health support and counselling to clients, tailored to their unique needs and goals.Develop and facilitate group programs and workshops to promote mental health and wellbeing in the local community.Maintaining detailed client records and documentation in line with organisational policies. What we're looking for Extensive experience working in the mental health sector, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.Demonstrated experience in delivering both individual and group-based mental health interventions.Proficient in crisis management and de-escalation techniques.Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
