This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies relating to macropod management issues and coordinates projects for researching and monitoring macropod species in Queensland.The projects will support Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) activities and provide technical and professional advice and support on ecological management. It will involve estimating population sizes through an aerial survey program, and travel in light fixed wing aircraft and/or helicopter is a requirement of the role.
