Senior Metallurgist (Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA, AU)
Based at our Kanowna Belle operations, the Senior Metallurgist reports to the Metallurgy Superintendent. The primary role is to provide leadership and guidance to the Metallurgical team and oversee the performance management and environmental compliance for the Kanowna Belle processing facilities, whilst actively contributing to the Company’s Vision and Values.
This is a Kalgoorlie residential role on a 5:2/4:3 (10 hour) days only roster. The successful applicant will reside in the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region.
Qualifications Required:
* A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
* Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an operational gold and hydrometallurgical mining-mineral processing environment, which includes Grinding and Flotation experience
* A demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence others in a positive manner
* A high level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel
* Knowledge of, or exposure to, environmental compliance frameworks
* Experience in financial management, including the preparation of budgets and cost management
* Excellent process analysis and technical problem-solving skills
* Proven time management, planning and organisational skills
* Highly developed communication skills
* Continual improvement mind-set
* Current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence
Desired Experience and Competencies:
* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a senior level position
* Feasibility Study experience
* Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
* Experience working with leaching circuits, and/or roasting
* Senior First Aid Certificate
* Sound presentation and public speaking skills
