Highlighting the importance of this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Service Worker to join our team at Moonah Park Aged Care Service on a casual basis. As an Environmental Service Worker, you will be responsible for laundry, cleaning, and hospitality duties within our residential facility. As an integral member of the team, you will deliver services to our much-loved residents.
In this role you will:
* Be responsible for laundry duties including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and labelling;
* Distribute linen and resident clothing; maintain the cleanliness of the laundry and equipment;
* Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility’s residential areas;
* Assist in the preparation of meals; maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
* Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys, and trays.
What you can bring to the team
To be successful in this role, you must have compassion for the elderly and be passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs. You will be a positive individual who works well with others and is always happy to support your fellow team members.
To be suitable for the position, ideally you have:
* Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable;
* Experience in the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded;
* Good attention to detail, willingness to learn, and be a proactive individual;
* Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week;
* Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Check and NDIS Screening.
